On May 7th the Simply Because Foundation was chosen as an official Charity for the St George Ironman. We were given the incredible opportunity to host an aid station. The Ironman is the ultimate challenge for seasoned athletes. We were honored to be able to participate. Board members from Simply Because and about 200 volunteers manned the station all day. 
Our station was named the "Running with the Bulls". Volunteers were there to provide water, Gatorade, GU, and fruit. We also provided the supplies need to work on their bikes if there was need.

To be apart of such an remarkable event was truly astounding.
Ironman was generous to the Simply Because Foundation as well. We were awarded the Best Aid Station and were given a gift that we will in turn give to some families who are truly deserving.
